A crushing blow to the family of William Tyrrell

May 26, 2019 by Where's William? Campaign

“The news in February that Detective Chief Inspector Gary Jubelin was removed from William’s case came as a crushing blow to us and with it, a deep sense of fear that the investigation into William’s disappearance would no longer have the passion, commitment and concentrated efforts of one of the world’s leading police investigators.

“For more than 4 years, we maintained supreme confidence in Chief Inspector Gary Jubelin and Strike Force Rosann who have steadfastly dedicated their exhaustive efforts to finding out what has happened to our precious little boy, and all the while with care and compassion for William and those who love him. Our confidence in Gary and Strike Force Rosann and our deep respect for their professionalism is unwavering. With the news overnight that Gary has resigned from the NSW Police, not only has NSW lost one of Australia’s most dedicated and compassionate detectives; William’s investigation has lost 4 years of in-depth knowledge of one of the most intensive investigations ever undertaken in this country.

“We are incredibly disappointed and saddened by the events that have led to this news.”

Our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to the men, women and children of Kendall

March 30, 2019 by Where's William? Campaign

Amid the first days of the Coronial Inquest the grief from everyone in the courtroom was palpable. As we began to hear the words of those first on the scene on that tragic day and in the days that followed, a light filtered through the darkness we all felt – it came from the hearts of the people of the small community of Kendall.

“Men, women, children, neighbours, strangers, police, off-duty police and their children rushed to help search for William as a little girl being pushed in her stroller by her mother, called out his name. As the minutes and hours ticked by and as word that a child was missing spread, one-by-one they came in whatever clothes they were wearing to comb the streets, drains and rugged, lantana-dense bush surrounding Benaroon Drive.”

“They came in the dozens, then the hundreds joining Police, Firies, SES and Surf-Lifesavers to search for William. Again and again they walked, eyes down, conducting line searches back and forth, shoulder-to-shoulder along the streets and through the scrub meticulously looking for any signs of William in his Spider Man suit while the people of Kendall continued to do whatever they could to help. Some searched from daylight ‘til dark for days on end. Some donated food. Others cooked and prepared meals to feed the hundreds of searchers who’d come from far and wide – all with a single purpose at heart, to help find little William and bring him home.”

“The care and support of the people of Kendall will stay with us always. Our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to you all.” William’s Mum and Dad

The Inquest – the next phase in the search for William

March 19, 2019 by Where's William? Campaign

“Not a day goes by that William is not in our hearts and in our thoughts – the grief is overwhelming.  On Monday 25 March 2019 we will mark 1655 tragic days since our beautiful little boy went missing, and with it comes renewed hope that the Coronial Inquest into William’s abduction will enable Strike Force Rosann to test the information and evidence they’ve painstakingly gathered to help further their investigation to find out what has happened to our precious little boy.”

“As we embark on this next phase of our search for William, we offer our deepest gratitude to the many who have supported us over the past 4 years, 6 months and 13 days. To those who combed bushland from daylight ‘til dark; the media for keeping William’s disappearance in the public eye; the Where’s William? Our thoughts are with William at Christmas time

December 24, 2018 by Where's William? Campaign

It’s Christmas morning and as families around Australia awaken to the sounds of Christmas carols and children’s giggles while they run through the house to see what Santa has left them for being good girls and boys. But for those who love William dearly, the pain and the tears have not lessoned with the years as they mark another lost Christmas – 4 years, 3 months and 13 days without their precious little boy. “William, we may not be able to see you, hear you, touch you, and laugh with you; and while we may not be able to hold you in our arms we carry you in our hearts every minute of every day including this Christmas Day…”

Our thoughts are with William and all those who love him today and every day….

Happy 7th Birthday William

June 26, 2018 by Where's William? Campaign

Today is William’s 7th Birthday.  If he were home, he would be opening his presents and running through the house laughing and playing with his new toys.  If William were home, we’d be taking him to school with chocolate crackles to share with his friends.  If William were home, after school there would be lots of play and then we’d have his special Birthday dinner with all his favourite foods.  There would be the birthday cake he would have chosen and, as he’s blowing out his candles he’d make his birthday wish while we’re singing “Happy Birthday Dear William.” But sadly, William is not at home. Today marks another heartbreaking year, and another Birthday without him.  It’s been 1384 days since we last saw William and for every single one of those days our thoughts have been of William – hoping he is being loved, hoping he is being cared for, and hoping that soon William will be found. There is a $1Million reward for information that leads Police to William. That’s 1 Million reasons to call Crime Stoppers NOW on 1800 333 000 before police call on you!

Please don’t give up on our boy. Don’t give up on bringing William home. Never say never. Where there is a chance that someone might come forward, there is hope that we all have the chance to bring William home.
William's Daddy
This has torn away the fabric and foundation of life as we know it -shattered our entire family to the core. The words broken hearted come to mind, but in fact this is not even close to the way our family feels on so many levels. What has happened to William is wrong, so very wrong. I wish, I pray, I cry each night for him. I see other children and families with boys the same age and feel so ripped off, short changed, for him, his sister, my family and myself. I fear the worst but yet pray for something, anything. Someone knows something, someone always knows something. Someone can help find William and bring him home.
William's Daddy
To watch your friends suffering through something as traumatic as this…there are just no words. As family and friends we try to support them, but how? What can any of us possibly do or say that would make a difference….? William is missing. The only way for this nightmare to end is for William to come home.
A Family Friend
William’s a baby and he needs to be home with his family. He’s an innocent little boy with a sister who wants her brother home. William’s Mummy, Daddy and sister are so sad and lonely without their precious boy. We love our boy and will never stop looking for him to bring him home.
William's Nana
This has torn away the fabric and foundation of life as we know it -shattered our entire family to the core. The words broken hearted come to mind, but in fact this is not even close to the way our family feels on so many levels. What has happened to William is wrong, so very wrong. Can you help bring William home?
William's Daddy
I pray he’s safe. I pray he’s being cherished. I pray that someone will say something. It’s too big a secret to keep. Please tell the Police what you know and help bring William home to us.
William’s Mummy
William needs the voice of many, his is silent. Who else will speak for him? Please join us in providing a voice for William. When children are just 3, their voices are not heard, but there are other voices that can speak louder. There are voices that can speak up for him and help us find our little boy. Who will stand by William and “shout” for him to help bring William home.
William's Mummy
I love my brother and I miss playing with him. I get sad when I think that bad people have hurt him. I want William home.
William’s 5-year-old Sister
William has cousins, he has uncles and aunts. They miss talking to him on the phone. They miss hearing him tell them about his friends, his toys, and riding his bike. They miss seeing him and his sister together. They miss his happy little face and his fun-loving play. Family get-togethers are always tinged with good memories and deep, profound sadness.
William's Mummy

Somebody saw something.
Somebody knows something.
Somebody can help bring William home.
Is that somebody you?
